Add the pesto to the pan and spread it into a thin layer. Cook the Eggs: When the pesto starts to bubble, crack the eggs on top. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover with a lid and cook until the egg whites are set and no longer translucent, about 2-4 minutes. Toast the Bread: While the eggs are cooking, toast the slices of bread.
