Easy Saucepan Brownies Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 oz (114 g) unsweetened chocolate (broken into pieces)
- 1/2 cup (114 g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup (40 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch glass baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Melt Butter and Chocolate:
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-low heat, add the unsalted butter and unsweetened chocolate pieces. Stir frequently until both are completely melted and smooth.
- Incorporate the Sugar:
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the granulated sugar. Keep stirring for about 1 minute until well combined.
- Add the Eggs:
- Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring thoroughly for at least 30 seconds between each addition.
- Add Vanilla:
- Stir in the vanilla extract, mixing for an additional 30 seconds.
- Mix in Flour and Salt:
- Add the flour and salt, stirring gently until just combined and no streaks of white remain.
- Bake the Brownies:
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth it out. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve:
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 20 minutes. Slice into 16 pieces and, if desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
