Homemade Butterfingers

Ingredients

  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan:
    • Line an 8×8-inch pan with foil, allowing extra to hang over the edges for easy removal. Set aside.
  2. Melt Candy Corn and Peanut Butter:
    • In a saucepan over low-medium heat, melt the candy corn with the peanut butter, stirring frequently until smooth and combined.
  3. Form the Base:
    • Pour the melted mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Let it cool completely until firm.
  4. Cut into Bars:
    • Once set, lift the foil to remove the candy from the pan. Use a sharp knife to cut it into 24 small bars.
  5. Melt and Coat with Chocolate:
    • Melt the chocolate wafers according to package instructions. Dip each candy bar into the melted chocolate, ensuring all sides are coated.
  6. Set the Chocolate:
    • Use a fork to lift each bar out of the chocolate, tapping the fork handle gently on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate. Place the bars on parchment paper and allow the chocolate to set.
