Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- ¼ cup bread crumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp marinara sauce (or your favorite spaghetti sauce)
- 1 egg
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 4 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into cubes
- Marinara sauce and pasta for serving
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, marinara sauce, egg, salt, and Italian seasoning. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
- Take about 1 tablespoon of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand. Place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center and wrap the meat around it, forming a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture and cheese cubes.
- Arrange the stuffed meatballs on a plate or tray and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to help them hold their shape.
- Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil. Cook the meatballs, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides and cooked through (about 10-12 minutes).
- Serve the mozzarella-stuffed meatballs with marinara sauce over your choice of pasta.
Notes:
- This recipe makes about 20 meatballs. Nutritional values are per meatball, so adjust based on your serving size.
