Cheese Breadsticks Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound (550g) pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups (225g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup (40g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet, pizza stone, or pizza pan, and set it aside.
- Prepare the Dough:
- Roll or stretch the pizza dough into a 12×10-inch rectangle. Don’t worry about making it perfect—just aim for an even thickness.
- Add the Toppings:
- Combine the melted butter and garlic powder in a small bowl. Brush this mixture evenly over the shaped dough.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, dried basil, dried oregano, and salt (if using) over the dough.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Serve:
- Once baked, slice the bread into breadsticks and serve warm. Enjoy with pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.
