3 Musketeers Candy
Ingredients:
- 3 cups milk chocolate chips
- 8 ounces Cool Whip
- 24 ounces chocolate almond bark
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pan:
- Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving some overlap on the edges to make it easier to lift out the candy later.
- Melt the Chocolate:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the 3 cups of chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until completely melted. Pour the melted chocolate into a large mixing bowl.
- Make the Filling:
- Using an electric mixer, beat the melted chocolate on high for about 30 seconds.
- Add the entire container of Cool Whip to the chocolate and mix on medium speed for about 1 minute, until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. This is your 3 Musketeers filling.
- Freeze the Filling:
- Spread the fluffy chocolate mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Freeze for 30 minutes to set.
- Cut the Candy Bars:
- Remove the pan from the freezer and lift the set filling onto a cutting board.
- Trim the edges of the square to clean it up, then cut the filling into bite-sized candy bars (you should get about 16 pieces).
- Place the cut pieces on a sheet pan, spreading them out so they don’t stick together, and freeze for an additional 15 minutes.
- Coat the Candy Bars:
- While the bars are freezing, melt the chocolate almond bark in a microwave-safe bowl, using 30-second intervals and stirring between each until fully melted (alternatively, you can use a double boiler).
- Remove the bars from the freezer and dip each piece into the melted almond bark, tapping off any excess chocolate. Place the coated bars back on parchment or wax paper.
- Set the Chocolate:
- Return the coated candy bars to the freezer or refrigerator for about 20 minutes, or until the chocolate coating is dry and firm.
Enjoy your homemade 3 Musketeers Candy!
