Million Dollar Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1 lb uncooked spaghetti
  • 1.5 lbs mild Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 48 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp basil pesto
  • 3 cups shredded Italian cheese blend

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to the package directions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook the sausage, crumbling it well as it cooks.
  4. Once the sausage is fully cooked, add the marinara sauce and stir well.
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the pot and stir until all the spaghetti is coated in sauce. Remove the pot from the heat.
  6. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and basil pesto. Use an electric mixer to blend the ingredients until smooth. Stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheese.
  7. In a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish, spread half of the spaghetti mixture evenly.
  8. Spread the cream cheese and sour cream mixture over the spaghetti layer.
  9. Top with the remaining spaghetti mixture, spreading it evenly.
  10. Sprinkle the remaining 2 cups of shredded cheese on top.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, until the cheese is completely melted and starts to brown.
  12. Remove the dish from the oven and serve immediately.
