Savory Beef and Potato Cheese Bake
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Oven Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Brown the Beef: Over medium heat in a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the finely chopped onion until the beef is fully cooked and the onion is clear. Drain off any excess fat.
- Create the Sauce: In a bowl, blend the cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
